Ski touring in Bulgaria

January 13 to March 31, 2025, I was for the second time in Bansko, Bulgaria, for 2.5 months. Besides daily skiing in the town’s ski resort, I did ten sweet ski tours in Pirin and Rila National Parks with Patty, Kiwi Mark, James, Paul, and others. Some tours were guided by Nikolay Pavlov and Pavel Peev of Split The Mountain and Branislav Brankov of Mountain Talk. All in all a great snow overdose!

Total touring distance: 117 km.

  1. Screw you for this report and all of the ridiculously inviting and mouthwatering photos, and for reminding me that I was invited and that I passed on the opportunity. Thanks for nothing
